Charities Week is set to begin!

At Chenderit, it is a tradition that, every December, the Charities Week Committee organises a week of fundraising events in order to raise as much money as we can for both local and national charities.

The activities this year start on Friday 15th December and there are a variety of events such as a Chenderit cake sale (Friday 15th December), sponging a teacher (Monday 18th December) and a basketball tournament (Tuesday 19th December).

This year we shall be supporting three charities: our local air ambulance service, Cancer Research UK and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Every year Chenderit students, parents and staff are extremely generous in their donations to raise large amounts of money for our chosen charities. This year, we hope to raise our largest sum to date.

To do this we need your help. There are 2 ways to donate:

By sending money in with the student which they can use to take part in or watch the activities or to buy cakes, sweets etc.

By donating via parent pay.

On the last day of term (Wednesday 20th December), as a reward for students who have contributed well to the Chenderit community over time, we have our Extravaganza – this is a show organised and led by sixth form students for all year groups. We look forward to sharing in what is promised to be a fabulous production next week.

Wishing our entire community, a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Message from the Music Department:

"We are very sorry that the Christmas Concert has had to be cancelled due to the weather. After all the work that students have put into this, we would like to re-arrange the concert. Due to other events in the school calendar over the next week, we would like to re-schedule for Tuesday 16th January at 7pm, with a few 'seasonal' changes to the programme. Further details will follow, and a letter explaining the new arrangements will be given to students before we break up for the Christmas holidays. Thank you for your understanding, and may we in the Music Department wish you all a Happy Christmas."
