Adverse Weather Conditions - School Closure

We have made the decision to close the school at 1:00pm in order that our students are able to be transported home safely.

The school buses will arrive at the school between 12:45pm and 1:00pm and we ask that if parents are collecting their children, they do so between these times.

Food will be available for students from the canteen prior to their departure.

With the continued poor weather forecast, we have made the decision to remain closed tomorrow and to reopen as usual on Monday morning (weather permitting).

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the school .

Due to the adverse weather the proposed ski trip launch meeting 6.45 tonight (1st March) has been re-scheduled. Ironically snow fall has caused ski meeting cancellations! The meeting is now scheduled for 6.30 – 7.15 Weds 7th March. Any questions please ask Mr Vickers in school.

Welcome to term 4 which I hope will be productive for all in our school community.

In the coming weeks, the leadership team and SENDCo are looking forward to meeting with all Y8 students and their parents to discuss KS4 options – this is an exciting time for us all. If you would like to view the options booklet online, click here. Please also look out for a letter from us with an appointment time.

On Tuesday 6th March, Chenderit’s school choir will be performing at St Mary’s Church, Banbury. The Rotary Club’s ‘Crocus Concerts’ or ’Purple4Polio Gigs’ raise money in order to end polio worldwide. We have been singing in these concerts for a number of years and are delighted that there has been only one new case of polio worldwide up to the end of January this year - this represents very good progress. In addition, the 100,000 crocuses that have been planted across Banburyshire over the past five years as a result of these concerts are beginning to come out!

Wishing everyone a successful final part of the spring term.
