English Department
Students build upon the knowledge, skills and understanding taught in previous key stages. At key stages 3, 4 and 5 students are taught new skills through exciting texts. Each term students produce two assessments (knowledge indicator and a written assessment) which help them to see how clearly they are making progress and what they need to do to develop their skills and understanding.
Through our reading we seek to develop a love of the subject, to promote engagement with a range of high quality literature and to give students the best possible life chances through both staff and students having the highest expectations of learning.
