History

History Department

The History Department aims to develop critical and reflective learners and inspire curiosity about the past. We aim to develop effective learners who use information appropriately, are analytical and critical and understand how and why humans behaved as they did, and may behave in similar circumstances again.

We want students to learn the art of oral debate and be able to express a clear personal point of view. These are invaluable skills at job or university interviews. Most importantly, we want our students to learn to think and then make up their own mind!
